This is one of the few paintings that I used a brush for the background.  The flatness allows the subjects to pop more.  This is one of my personal favorites.

This one was a Alla Prima one night at the local street fair. I had a booth set up and was painting live.  That was the first time I painted in public and it didn't matter, I went to the same place of peace as if I was alone in my studio.  Maybe I should paint some passion fruit!
