"Poppies Among the Greek Ruins at Paestum" by Karla Nolan, palette knife oil painting

 Several years ago we travelled to Italy and visited a more southern region.  It took a while to reach Paestum, but the drive was worthwhile, as we were able to walk around ancient Greek ruins, still standing to a degree.  And, yes, of course, there were the wild red poppies!  What a delight!
