I spent the day in Yosemite Valley, painting with some great friends who love to paint the fall color and came up with this very juicy oil painting done with a palette knife. The air was light and breezy, and the cottonwood trees were dropping their yellow leaves. I'm thinking of a studio version done from this field study.
