On Top of the Snake... by Sarah Morley

No snakes here? Yes there are - this is my painting of the view from the top of the Snake Pass in Derbyshire, England. The Snake is a road and  pass over the Pennines, the backbone of England - these hills divide West and East England and run from Derbyshire up to the Scottish borders. In winter this road gets very icy or thick with snow and is closed in bad weather. When I was up there on a lovely late summer day last month it looked glorious - with the sun on the distant hills and plenty of heather on the moors.

The painting has been made using only knives. It is on block canvas and is quite a big one - 36"x36". It is for sale for $650 plus shipping.
