Contemporary Wildflower Landscape Painting
When I started this landscape, I wanted a soft, mystical feel to the painting. I wanted the viewer to "drift" into the painting and roam around the canvas. The wildflowers are fading into the background, and everything is still. Not alot of bold brush strokes going on...which many of my paintings have. The sky is a soft icey gray-blue, and the wildflowers have magentas, ochres, and blue-greens. This canvas is stretched on gallery wrap stretcher bars, so frame is not needed.
