VIEW OF THE IRISH SEA, LATE AFTERNOON, by New York artist Celeste Plowden

This painting was done entirely with a palette knife, except for the whispy ship.  I used a scraping technique often employed by Whistler for color variations in the water and sky.
8x10 acrylic on archival canvas board, UV varnish, SOLD.
