This is the  first in a series of larger winter landscapes. I was inspired  when travelling by car through Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York.

I donated this painting from early this year to Five  Star Sensation, Cleveland’s premier food and wine event.  It is the largest fundraising endeavor benefiting cancer care at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center. More than 2000 guests are expected to attend this exquisite culinary event, which will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013. Five Star Sensation, presented by Huntington Bank, and hosted by honorary chairperson and “Chef to the Stars” Wolfgang Puck, will feature over 35 renowned chefs and 40 vintners from all over the world.

Since 1987, this biennial event has provided over $14 million for cancer research and treatment at UH Seidman Cancer Center, Northeast Ohio’s first and only free-standing cancer hospital. Ranked in the top 20 nationally, the UH Seidman Cancer Center is home to the National Cancer Institute-designated Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, and offers access to the most advanced cancer care and innovative clinical trials in our region.
