Being born and raised in Minnesota, I am very emotional about the seasons here in the Midwest and it shows in my work. Color is the predominant Element in my art. I love color because it can express so many of the feelings that I want to incorporate into my work. I paint in an expressionistic style. I use dramatic colors and loose brushwork to give the impression of familiar shapes and objects without focusing on the details. I do both the fused glass and the silver work involved in creating my jewelry.
